Key features: The spandex core provides high elasticity and rebounds quickly after stretching. It is not easy to loosen and deform even after repeated wear, and there is no limit to the comfortable fit. The outer fiber layer provides uniform coverage, minimal fluff, and a smooth surface, resulting in a flat fabric with uniform color rendering. It retains the skin-friendly and moisture-wicking properties of cotton, the softness of viscose or the wrinkle-resistant properties of polyester, providing a comfortable feel and ease of care. The elasticity can be adjusted by controlling the core spandex content, and the fabric style can be changed by changing the outer fiber. The weaving stability is strong, suitable for both mass production and personalized customization, and the core fiber enhances the yarn strength and wear resistance, making the fabric resistant to tearing, pilling, and extending the service life of the product.
Production process: commonly used ring spinning and other processes. First, the core yarn is wound into a bobbin. The outer staple fibers are dyed, combed, and drawn into roving. The core and roving are then mixed on the spinning machine. Drafting and twisting are then performed to coat the core yarn with staple fibers. Some products are also subjected to paralleling, twisting, and steaming/shaping processes for added stability.
Application field: wide range of application scenarios. Spandex core version is mostly used in elastic clothing, such as sportswear, yoga pants, stretch jeans, underwear, etc.; The wool outer fit is suitable for warm knitwear; The polyester core version can be used for structured and durable casual jackets, as well as for sewing threads, children’s fabrics, etc.
